I hate to admit it, but I’m one of those people who skip breakfast almost every day. I know, I know, it’s the most important meal, it speeds up your metabolism, I could grab a banana out the door, blah, blah. But I’m a writer, and writers like coffee. Lots of coffee. (Among other things, but I’ll save you from those horrors today.) So for me, coffee is my breakfast of champions. And no, I definitely could NOT eat something WHILE drinking my coffee. Sacrilege I tell you. Then again, if I were to eat breakfast in a beautiful kitchen like this one instead of my car, I might change my tune. I draw the line at fresh-squeezed OJ, though. Regardless, it’s still a frun accessory. Kind of like my cookbooks.

Okay, could this post be ANY later?? I blame it on work. I blame everything on work. Admittedly, some days it’s tough keeping up with what I love when what pays the bills is calling. And calling. And stalking. Ahhh, the double life I lead.

I fell in love with this "delicious" sign the moment I saw it and knew it warranted a board. Sadly it wouldn't be right in my own space, but how great is it in a gray and white kitchen with teal backsplash??

In real life, I think stainless steel fixtures and appliances would be terribly difficult to keep clean. In my pretend world (and kitchen) silver seems awfully tasty. What do you think?

Despite my obsession with white, this blog will indeed focus on interior design AND incorporate color! I know, hard to believe. However, because I do covet oh so many wonderful white homes, rooms, accessories and more, I'll be dedicating the Weekly Whiteout to one fabulous "white" image per week. This week, check out a great kitchen from the Domino archives. I'm loving the exposed shelves and subway tile contrasted with the dark wood counter tops!
